Calogero: Franco, is it time to get going yet?
Franco: No, just wait a little longer, then that cocksucker should be back home from work.
Calogero: You know my friend, when I first brought you into the family, didn’t you reckon you should be in a different line of work?
Franco: Not really, school got me nowhere, and I needed money when I left school, so I joined the mafia. How about you?
Calogero: I was quite a bright guy at school to be frank. But it was my dream, to be a Samerican gangster and live the high life you know.
Franco: And when that bastard Harald is dead, we can all go back to the USN and our homes, cars and our sweet oh sweet lifestyle.
Calogero: Yeah, it better come soon.



Marcus: Man, I wish my brother never got involved in the dope business…
Vincent: It’s a relief he’s not an addict, and just a dealer. Now let’s find this house.
Marcus: If that’s No. 15, where is it then?



Vincent: You’ve just drove past it! Turn her around!
Marcus: Ah damn it!



Marcus: This has got to be the one.
Vincent: Where else do you see a Vrad Rua Faunton around here nowadays?

Franco: So, we’re heading to Harald’s house yeah?
Calogero: Of course. If he’s there you whack the bastard. If he’s not, we’ll just trash the place and wait for him to get home…
Franco: Sounds like a plan…



Marcus: Did you hear that?
Vincent: Yeah… I did.
Marcus: Alright, we’ll follow them and they should lead us towards my brother’s house…



Vincent: Don’t get too close.
Marcus: Do you think I didn’t know that already? Look, if they see us, not only will Harald die but we will too.
Vincent: So you’re saying he will die then?
Marcus: No, but they have the intention of killing him, and no doubt if we’re dead there’ll be no one left to save him. Who said you can’t fix the past?
Vincent: It’s worth a try, but as my late inspirational grandfather said, you can shape the past, but you can never shape the future.
Marcus: Well you’re granddad’s wrong pal, here we go.







Franco: I wish I had the fucking cash for a place like this…
Calogero: You do, don’t you?
Franco: Not quite.



Marcus: Alright, nice and easy now.
Vincent: If we bump into the bastards, kill them.
Marcus: Not quite yet, there could be more we could get out of them.
Vincent: Oh for the love of Alterra, please, let’s just kill them!
Marcus: We’re going in there to not get killed, not to kill someone else. Now keep your voice down.



Calogero: Haha, don’t trash this place, it’s already been trashed. He must have taken too much dope he forgot what his house looked like.
Franco: He doesn’t seem to be here.





Vincent: Haha, bet they didn’t know about this place, huh?
Marcus: Let’s wait up here for a while, if they don’t leave by dark, we’ll move in on them.



Vincent: Hehe, sounds like a sort of plan.
Marcus: That’s because it is one.
Vincent: It doesn’t seem a very good one.
Marcus: Let’s just wait.
Vincent: Standing around up here won’t do anything. It seems Harald isn’t here…
Marcus: Come on, let’s get down. It’s getting dark.



Vincent: Quiet! Watch your back on the window!
Marcus: Ah, shit.



Franco: I saw somebody at the window, boss!
Calogero: What the…? Alright, let’s get out of here.
Franco: But what if it’s Harald…
Calogero: Look, he just screwed us up on a small deal of them drugs. It’s no big deal; we gotta get out of here!
Franco: Have you gone crazy? You bring us all the way here for nothing?
Calogero: The alleyway in Neath besides the chicken factory is his usual hide-out. Let’s see what’s going on down there.



Calogero: Drive faster! They’re here!
Franco: Ok, ok!



Vincent: Ok, this is it, Marcus! I’ll kill Calogero, you take Franco.
Marcus: What!? Are you fucking nuts? After all Calogero did to this city and you ask me to take out some low-life underboss…
Vincent: He’s going to kill your brother, Marcus.
Marcus: Look, I’ve gotta kill Calogero. If I don’t, I won’t go back to…
Vincent: Ah, I see… you think you can use your fucking sob story about your cute little family in the future?
Marcus: Ah, just shut it. Let’s just get this done…
Vincent: Woah! Good idea, Marcus, why didn’t you think of that before?

Calogero: Let’s go get them…



Marcus: This is going to be good. They haven’t seen us for so long this might even surprise them to death…
Vincent: They think they’ve got away with it all…



Calogero: Hello guys. You all ok?
Nino: Yeah, not bad thanks Calogero.
Franco: Hey guys.
Calogero: You all ready to go back to Samerica?
Vittorio: To right!



Vincent: Well then… what have we here?
Calogero: Vincent! What the fuck do you think you’re doing here? How did you…
Vincent: Your old friend Oliver…
Calogero: What about him?
Vincent: He told us where you were.
Calogero: What!? I’LL KILL HIM!
Vincent: You’re too late; he threatened to kill us after he’d told us where you were, so we shot him down.
Calogero: Ah, that’s even worse. Well at least something could have came good out of it. It brought you lot here so I could kill you both.
Vincent: Haha, funny that. Try me.



Calogero: Nino, lay onto old Vincent here.
Vincent: Don’t be a twat, you old bastard. You make yourself look strong on the outside with your fancy lifestyle and all your little men, but when you’ve left them all for us to kill, you’re not gonna look so strong then, are you?



Nino: Hey pal, you better take back what you just said there, because trust me, you wouldn’t really want to mess with me…
Vincent: Oh really, show us what you’ve got then!
Nino: Sure!



Vincent: N’aww. Better luck next time chum. Who’s next then!?



Marcus: Alright then, Franco. Where’s my brother?
Franco: I don’t know, I haven’t found him yet. Want to help me? It’s just a matter of who gets to him first, and you know what will happen if I get to him first don’t you?
Marcus: Stop messing with my head old man. How come you want to kill him so bad?
Franco: You want to know why? Are you sure?
Marcus: Yes! I know that he’s a drug dealer, so don’t go thinking your surprising me by saying that.
Franco: Alright, he screwed us up on a deal. We gave him the money, the drugs he supplied weren’t the drugs we were looking for… in fact they weren’t drugs at all.
Marcus: What was it then?
Franco: Baking powder. The scum is a dead man walking…



Harald: Oh, is this me you’re talking about?
Franco: Oh, here he is!
Marcus: Harald!?



Franco: Ok then, where shall we start with you Harald?
Marcus: Hang on, Franco. Let me speak first.
Franco: You’re gonna let me kill him?
Marcus: Harald…
Harald: Yes?
Marcus: Do you by any chance, have a brother? Named Marcus Redford?
Harald: Erm, no.
Marcus: Don’t lie to me… you have! And that brother is me! I know, I’m not 15, I’m 42. I’m from the future.

Marcus: What you need to know is that you need to get out of here.
Harald: Who are you?
Marcus: I’m D.C.I. Marcus Redford of the Siverpool Metropolitan Police!
Vincent: D.I. Marcus Redford actually.
Harald: What!? You’re a cop? Fellas, let ‘em have it! Shoot them!
Marcus: Woah, woah! Slow down! I’m here to save you from your death. Franco, he’s gonna kill you right now.
Franco: Yep, I am, out of my way Redford.



Harald: What the…!? What’s happening?
Franco: Oooh, what’s that sharp thing in there?
Harald: Stop touching!



Franco: (Laughs) What!? Haha! A meat cleaver? Check this out Demitrio!
Demitrio: Check him out some more. He’s here to kill us.
Harald: Give that back!
Franco: Haha! No, you’re a stupid crazy fuck young Harald… I mean who carries a meat cleaver around with them? That’s just plain insane!
Harald: You don’t give that back and you’ll have a lot to worry about Franco.
Franco: Ah, I won’t. Goodbye, Harald.
Marcus: NO, GIVE ME THAT!





Harald: What the…? You really are somebody aren’t you? You’re my brother! Because you saved me!
Calogero: Hey, what’s going on here?
Harald: …
Calogero: Franco!? What the fuck has happened?



Marcus: I told you didn’t I, Harald? But you just wouldn’t listen. From now on, you quit the shit you get involved in, and I’m going to protect you from now on.



Calogero: Ah, fuck this shit!
Marcus: Get back here, Calogero. It’s time we ended this once and for all!



Calogero: Never, copper!



Marcus: Ah, shit. This is it though, Marcus. Catch him and this case will finally be over! Over for good. For Rod, for Bryan, for Gonzalo, for everything that this bastard was behind right from the very beginning, I’m going to kill him.



Marcus: Where’s the Mighty Mer when you need it? Good job he’s in a Faunton.



Calogero: Damn, that bastard wants me killed!



Marcus: Hrmph… what a dopey bastard. Everyone could clearly see going this way only could ever result in a dead end.
Calogero: Oh shit!



Harald: Man, he saved me did that Marcus.
Vincent: He sure did, Harald.
Harald: Will he catch Calogero?
Vincent: He’s not the best driver in the world, but hey, I’m whipping out the Teletron for backup. Perhaps we can grab the helping hand of the Senglish army too to take this bastard down.
Harald: Could I help?
Vincent: It’s best you stay out of the way… (On phone) Oh yes hello there…



Vincent: Listen, we got a situation here. Calogero Giuliani is on the run and he’s heading fast in your direction… we need backup, immediately! Erm, we’re at some chicken factory in Neath right now, but we’re right on the outskirts, he’ll be heading into Siverpool any moment now. Get everything you can, police, and maybe call for a few favors from the Senglish State Army too… we must take Calogero down before it’s too late! Thanks, bye.





Marcus: Give it up, Calogero. It’s a matter of time before you reach your death.
Radio: And Mr.-so-called-Don-Calogero, known to many as Calogero Giuliani, is on the run. If you happen to see him drive by in a black Vrad Rua Faunton, don’t hesitate by trying to stop him, after all – he’s the most wanted criminal in Sengland! A road block is being set up outside Siverpool General Hospital, so please, stay away from that area please. It’s not about when Calogero will stop, but who’s gonna stop him.
Marcus: Who’s going to stop him, hmm? I am.



Calogero: Out of the fucking way you arsehole!



Man: Gah!
Marcus: Damn it!



Marcus: Woah! That was close! He really doesn’t care if he takes everyone along with him in this line of work… but that’s the mafia for you!





(Tyres screeching)





Marcus: What the…!? Yes, yes, YES! Thank you Vincent, you FUCKING BEAUTY! HAHA!



Calogero: Oh shit! Here goes nothing…



(High revs and acceleration)



(Humungous explosion)



Marcus: That’s it! It’s over! Finally! FINALLY!



Marcus: After everything… all the blood spilt… all the guns, car chases, explosions… something good came out of it all. Thank you Vincent, thank you.



Marcus: What the…?



Marcus: What on Alterra? Calogero?
Calogero: You’ll have to do better than that, copper!
Marcus: I don’t believe this!



Calogero: Pretty good, huh?
Marcus: How did you…?
Calogero: Don’t be stupid Marcus, you know why I did what I just did. You’re in a coma, and you’re going to die Marcus. ‘Coma’ is just a fancy word for saying your on your way to your death you bastard. Erase your memory of the past months. Your police friends no longer exist.
Marcus: They do…
Calogero: Marcus – Bryan, Vincent and Rod were nothing but just the three of the most important cops of the Siverpool Metropolitan Police in 1984. They’re nothing special. But what is significant, is you’re in 1984 because you knew, up there in your head that if you were to travel back in time the one thing you would change is your brother’s death, right?
Marcus: Right.
Calogero: Well done pal, you did it. But that don’t change a thing my friend. These, ‘events’, that have been happening, they’re going on right now.



Marcus: In 2011?
Calogero: Yes. I’m still on the hunt for Sergio Bini.
Marcus: How the fuck do you know all this?
Calogero: Like I said before, if you remember – I’m not just here Marcus, I’m everywhere… (laughs)
Marcus: Oh, shit! I haven’t got to do this all again have I?
Calogero: No, Marcus. All you have to do is tell the cops that D.I. Luca Tennyson is in fact Sergio Bini. You’ve solved the case in your damn head.
Marcus: Wh..why are you the pinpoint of this dream? Why you!?
Calogero: Marcus, I just so happened to ‘hurt’ you.
Marcus: What the hell are you talking about?
Calogero: You know exactly what I mean, it’s the whole reason why you’re here. Cast your mind back to the moment you were run over… what did you remember?
Marcus: Oh shit, this can’t be true… I don’t believe it! I DON’T BELIEVE IT!
Calogero: Yes, Marcus. It was me.



Calogero: As you came onto the road… I had just landed in Sengland to hunt Sergio and I was driving to my hotel.



Calogero: You just happened to come out from nowhere. I didn’t have the intention on running you over; you just came out in front of me and I couldn’t help it but run you over.



Calogero: And look where that got us, we’re both in a dream together or a nightmare if you exclude your ‘fling’ with Francesca, which also was never real.
Marcus: So I never cheated on my wife?
Calogero: No, it looks like you didn’t.



Calogero: So that’s what got us here. Thanks to me, Marcus. And being the nice guy I am, I left you there to die.
Marcus: WHAT!? I died?
Calogero: Yes, Marcus. I’m everywhere remember, and I heard what Vincent’s grandfather had said to him when he told you. You can’t shape the past, but you can shape the future. There’s no good turning back now, Marcus. You never saved your brother and you couldn’t save yourself my friend. And remember Vincent saying a long time ago to you, that he had dealed with us before?
Marcus: Um, yes.
Calogero: His grandfather was mine as well, he had Sitalian descent. He was a fucking Mafioso Marcus! (Laughs) And you trusted that bastard, he still wanted to kill me by setting the road block up, he screwed our relationship years ago by killing my father. He said he had trust in Oliver before he killed Rod, and he did, he had trust in him to kill Rod! It may not appear that to you, but Vincent was a bad guy from the very beginning, and it was Rod that introduced you to him.



Marcus: Please don’t say that Rod was a bad guy too…
Calogero: Luckily, he wasn’t. Vincent was just an egghead bastard who has the tricks up his sleeve.
Marcus: So, what now!? I’m dead.
Calogero: …
Marcus: Calogero!? Speak to me! Please tell me I’ll be able to see my family again! Please!
Calogero: That’s out of my hands now…
Marcus: PLEASE! CALOGERO, I’M BEGGING YOU! PLEASE!



Calogero: Goodbye, Marcus.
Marcus: No, COME BACK!



Marcus: Huh!? Where’s everything gone!? Hello?



Marcus: Huh? It’s daylight! What’s going on…? Oh no, shit. I’m not off up into heaven am I? Please, I can’t die!



Marcus: No! Please! Don’t take me away, I don’t want to die! Please, I’ll do anything in order to see my family again! Please, PLEASE!



Marcus: Hello? Hello! I must be still alive, surely?



Marcus: What!? It’s a… hospital. I…I’m alive! I’M ALIVE! No, I don’t believe it. Calogero said I’m dead.





Marcus: It is true! It is, I can smell the fresh air, and I’m alive and breathing!



Marcus: Stop!
Woman: Get out of the road you bastard!



And so, after all that had happened, Marcus survived regardless of what Calogero said. The woman stopped and offered to give him a lift home providing he got changed, since arriving in his hospital clothes wouldn’t have been the warmest gift his family could imagine, so it would have been better to arrive in regular clothes even though he was itching to go see them.

Woman: Get in, pal.
Marcus: Thank you very much, madam.



Woman: Hey kid, I recognize you… you’re the cop!
Marcus: D.C.I. Marcus Redford it is!
Woman: It’s a good job you’re here; this guy is on the loose! Some Samerican gangster so they say, we’re all at risk, Marcus!
Marcus: Ah, is it Calogero Giuliani by any chance?
Woman: Wow, you’re a genius. How’d you know?
Marcus: Ah, you really don’t want to know right now… don’t worry. It’ll be sorted as soon as I arrive at the station…
Woman: You’re a good man, Marcus.



He hadn’t dug myself into a big enough hole to realize that Calogero was still on the loose. All he had to say was where he was and what he was there for. Then that’d put Calogero behind bars. But as for Franco, he was killed as soon as he’d killed Marcus' brother in 1984. One of Harald’s gang members took the meat cleaver from his jacket pocket and slaughtered Franco to death. Marcus was a lot quicker to react than that guy. But it was worth a try to save him, and it looks like he did. As he stepped out of the car, he couldn’t wait for the reaction of Jane and Jake.



He felt replenished, clean, fresh and free to run around. After leaving the hospital he felt new, and young, as he ran up to the front door frantically like an overly excited child.



Jane: Here’s your breakfast, Jake.
Jake: Thanks mummy.

(Doorbell rings)

Jane: Hang on a minute; I’ll just go get the door.
Jake: Oh ignore it; it’ll just be somebody trying to sell something.
Jane: No, you never know – it could be important.



Marcus: Jane…
Jane: Marcus…
Marcus: Well, aren’t you happy to see me?
Jane: …
Marcus: Jane?



Jane: Come here!
Marcus: Oh man, you’ve got heavy! (laughs)
Jane: I’d though you’d never come back! What happened!?
Marcus: I’d just came out of my coma about an hour ago; I would have been quicker if I didn’t run out into the road with my pajamas still on.
Jane: Oh Marcus you silly man!



Marcus: Call me whatever you want, all that matters is that you’ve got me. But most importantly, I’ve got you!
Jane: Oh, Marcus…
Marcus: Woah. Nice hair! Did you get it cut?
Jane: No, I didn’t get it cut. I went to sleep one night and woke up the next morning like this…
Marcus: …
Jane: Oh of course I had it cut! And thanks!
Marcus: No problem!
Jane: You should go see Jake now, I’m sure you raring to go see him…
Marcus: His face will light up the moment he sees me!



Marcus: Hello Jake…
Jake: D…Daddy?
Marcus: That’s me, Jake. I’m home!
Jake: Daddy!



Marcus: Aw, it’s so good to see you looking so well.
Jake: What happened? You got better!
Marcus: Indeed I did, Jake. You’ve got me all to yourself now!
Jake: Awesome! Can we go fishing?
Marcus: Sure, anytime this weekend!
Jake: Oh and also, you know I said I wanted to be prime minister?
Marcus: Oh yeah?
Jake: Well I’m one step closer to that now! I’m aloud to go to Private School now!
Marcus: What!? WOAH! Way to go Jake! That’s excellent news!

Everything seemed to be running smoothly for Marcus… Jake was taking after his father by being a brainbox, and Jane was well too. But now he had to encounter the toughest obstacle of them all… Calogero. Things may have been back to normal, but he still had to go back to work…



Calogero was good, but he couldn’t get himself out of this one. Marcus didn’t need evidence, all his words had stumbled Calogero until he’d been left speechless.

Calogero: Look, how do you know that Vincent and I shared the same grandfather? This is insane! He’s been in a coma for, what!? Six months?
Marcus: The fact is, you were there, Calogero. You told me everything in my coma to make up for what we’re experiencing now. I also know the identity of D.I. Luca Tennyson, Gethin.



Gethin: Oh yeah!? We’ve noticed he’s been acting strange recently… he’s on stress relief. Yet he lives on his own in a flat, not much trouble going on there hey? You know, perhaps his mutt shat on the floor, since he has a dog! (Laughs)



Marcus: (Laughs) I don’t know where you get these things from, Gethin…! Anyway, the fact is, Luca is Sergio Bini. The guy that Calogero here is after. You remember Gethin, when Luca was dispatched here from the Sondon Metropolitan Police? Yeah, Luca was moorish too. So he thought he could fake his identity by killing the real Luca and taking his place.



Gethin: Man, I really don’t know where you get this stuff from…
Marcus: I wouldn’t have had it if it weren’t for you Calogero…
Calogero: This is crazy…
Marcus: My thoughts exactly.



Well, that was that. Calogero’s trial was pointless, but it went on anyway. He was sentenced for life due to the many crimes he had commited, and back in Abbeyway in the USN all of its families had been abolished and some mafioso’s took death penalties. All this would have never happened if it wasn’t for Marcus getting run over.

Calogero: This is a fucking fix! Get me out of here!

Life for him was great at home, but not so much for Calogero. It had been a rollercoaster of a journey, and Marcus was glad it had came to an end. Calogero’s plans to take revenge on the people that had betrayed him was a lost cause from day one. With it, he had no choice but to hang himself in his own cell only two hours after he’d been sentenced and put in there. I'm sure Marcus wouldn’t want to do this all again, it had been a nightmare, but rewarding in the end. Regardless of the previous events, who says you can’t go back and do it all again?
